Safe HAndling of Refrigerated Pressurised ammonia

SHARP is a research project dedicated to improving the safety of refrigerated pressurised ammonia systems. By combining large-scale experiments, model development, and validation studies, the project will generate new knowledge on ammonia releases, atmospheric dispersion, rainout phenomena, and mitigation measures, supporting the safe deployment of ammonia as an energy carrier and industrial chemical.
